I posted this on the oil/lube forum after reading a similar post on the SD/HD forum but I thought that I would ask here as I have a V10 (please let me know if posting the same question on different forums is a total no-no).
Is anyone running a remote dual oil filter system on their V10. Is there any real benefit to running two filters?

Well you gain another quart or so of oil capacity, so that would be a plus. But unless you're going 10K+ miles between changes why would you ? I doubt at 3K miles you're getting anywhere near the full-to-the-point-of-bypass capacity of a single oil filter. Unless you are running all the time in a very dusty environment, then it may be a good idea, along with upgrading your air filter. But for normal wear and tear driving up and down the interstate I think it would be more protection than needed. Unless it made you feel better, then by all means go for it.
