BOO HOO-my truck doesn't get 35 mpg-if you want mileage-drive a prius!!!!!-What a Joke-I drive a 97 f250 w/ a 460 everyday or my 93 Bronco w a 351--some of these folks need to get a life-it's a pickup!!!
Does anyone really believe the window sticker EPA rated MPG? It's an average on a closed course. Some do a little better, most do a little worse, in the real world.
I always laugh at class action suits. The lawyers make all the money and the owners get a worthless credit or a small check that means nothing.
This thread can stay as long as it discusses the EPA numbers. As soon as anyone brings up joining or filing any legal action, it gets shut down.
This has been posted over on f150forum.com and quite a few people that replied are getting the EPA #s or close to it.
I'd like to see FoMoCo use that thread for evidence in this ridiculous lawsuit.
On my 18 I have averaged 19.6 mpg and happy with this .Being a 4 wheel drive ,and having many 4x4s ,this is exceptional mileage. Many other automakers trucks cannot compare.Friend bought a Toyota with The v8 and he is lucky to see 15.Most others will stretch there mileage as good or not mention an average .TR

Correction, a few do a little better, virtually everyone else on the face of the planet does worse.
My eight year old 3.5L F-150 with 95,000 miles is still well within the EPA estimate and I hammer this thing every day.
I'll tell you what happened: People bought into the whole truck thing as a family vehicle because it's big and roomy and their friends were all doing it too. These people traded in their Acura's and Lexus' for an upscale 6000 pound tow monster and now they're all pissed because their 375 HP beast that's boasting nearly 450 LB/FT of torque isn't getting 30 MPG's.
These people should have smart enough to buy a used truck for their weekend chores and stayed in their high end fuel sipping imports.
Sounds like these guys "Hagens Berman" are a bunch of ambulance chasers if you ask me ? Next Ford will be accused of using pollution cheating software along with mileage cheating software ? My understanding is that they Hagens Berman went trolling for people that weren't happy with their mileage.
You know the EPA ratings have always been high due to the nature of the way the EPA testing is done. More recent years is a lot closer to reality, but it's still a "test", and not real world driving. I think it's possible with the latest tests and a very frugal driver to be able to get fairly close. However, hills and heavy foot drivers will certainly be disappointed.
If Ford settles, the lawyers and their firm will get real cash, the Ford owners might get a coupon for a free or reduced price oil change, and Ford will make the money back by adding a few dollars more to the price of every new vehicle.
curious as to why? Who owns the forum? Not trolling.
It’s part of the user agreement and site guidelines. IB (Internet Brands) owns the forum. Legal issues discussed here can quickly lead to users joining class action suits or recommendations for attorneys etc. The owners of this site do not want to be a party of any suit or to be subpoenaed for any reason.
As Gabar stated above, class action only fattens the attorney’s wallets and we all pay iin the end.
In any issue where someone thinks they have a legal case, that person should contact a competent attorney and get advice that way.

This is just dumb .
That pretty well sums up the way a class action works. Lawyers get a big payday, and the the consumers get a few sheckles, if anything.
My window sticker says 18 city, 23 highway, 20 combined. ('17 SC, 2.7EB, 6 speed)
After 13,287 miles tracked on Fuelly, I have an 18.8 overall average, a best of 23.1 and a worst of 14.4.
Since my running is not on a dyno with a pre-specified "route", done in laboratory conditions with all other factors controlled, I don't think my numbers are too bad.
My last trip I ran about 10-15 over the limit vs. my usual 5 to 9 over. Lost about 1 maybe 1.5 MPG. (65 to 80 instead of 62 to 74)
