C-4 trans shifting correctly?

mine does that too after "4" rebuilds by the d=same trans mechanic... I'd like to hear what others say too, because I still am waiting to hear from someone else knowledgeable from my last question I posted on here too, but since my truck is doing that with my 351w so now I'm curious now.Does yours slip during the rev? or neck jerk punch?

I don’t think the trans is slipping. I rebuilt the trans myself and added a shift kit. I messed it up only lasted a few 100 miles. Shifted pretty hard then. Had a shop rebuild the trans and didn’t shift to hard only put about 300 miles on it and tore the truck apart to do a crown Vic swap and a new motor.
New motor has a lot more power than the last. When I 1st started driving it it would shift way to early. So I adjusted the vacuum modulator and it shifts at higher speeds.
Yes the vacuum modulator is hooked and has vacuum to it.
Now I’m considering a A0D swap. Right now turning 3000 rpm at 70 mph.

Pulled the trans pan and this is what I find. I would say less than a 1000 miles on rebuild.
I got a sonnax servo I was gonna put in it to see if it stops the flare between 2 and 3 shifts (doesn’t do it 1-2 shift)
Oil doesn’t smell burnt trans wasn’t slipping.
Should I just put it back together and save for a AOD swap?
or swap the servo out and save for a AOD swap?

The servo won't help, during the 2 - 3 shift the band is released and the direct clutch is applied, the flare happens because the band is releasing faster than the direct clutch can apply.
So you need to tighten the band or tighten the direct clutch pack, however judging by the way the pan looks I would guess the direct clutch is burnt and you will end up having to pull it out and apart to fix it.
It wouldn't surprise me if the pan/filter combination may have had a part in its early failure. There are different filters for different style pans so make sure you find one that goes with that pan.
