I have a 34' Primetime Lacrosse that I pull with my Excursion. It weighs 9800 loaded . I am using an Equalizer 12000lb hitch. I have not had any problems with the hitch once set up. I have first dibs on a pretty cheap propride.. It should have the bearings replaced. The real issue is my driveway. It is really steep. I pull up the drive, and have room up top to turn around. At the top, if I leave the foot on the jack, it will scrape just a little. I also remove the weight bars before turning up the drive.
Anyone that has a Propride, would it handle the turn, and head up the steep drive? It appears to hang pretty low. Any idea how low they hang below the tongue? The ball receiver on the trailer is just a tad higher than the trailer frame. It does sit 23" from the ground to the inside of the ball receiver.
Thanks!
Here's a pic I found on FB. It sounds like you need to remove the bars to have room, then I don't think it would be a wise choice. It is a bit time consuming to pull the bars, as they are held in with little pucks that can be difficult to fish out. Although, I don't really have a lot of experience removing mine, as they always stay attached.
