Planning on replacing my factory trans pan on a 92 F150 4.9 with an auto E4OD. Mine has a nice dent from a previous owner hitting it, plus I’d like a drain plug. My question is the Dorman brand part number 265-805 is listed as a non fit on amazon. These look identical from the size, shape and bolt holes. Anyone used this before? Some comments on amazon say they fit 95 f150 4x4 with E4OD so I think I’m going to order one, and if I hear differently I can usually return easily since it’s amazon prime.
I posted an answer to another post to your thread . You can't edit with just one word so I had to write something. Gettin old is hell. BTW the LQM pick a part I use is at 12575 Hiram Clarke Rd, probably not to far for you. Last I was there they had a few good ones. Sandy

Oh haha, yes I've had to get creative on a few edits myself with the no delete post option. Thanks for the lqm suggestion, that's a little far from me but it's worth the drive to avoid the ridiculous prices ive seen for replacement pans online. Theres a yard in alvin that's 10 or so minutes from my house i'll try first and if they don't have one it's houston or bust! Thanks again.
The 1995 and newer takes a rubber (neoprene) reusable gasket that have round metal rings around the bolt holes.
This rubber (neoprene) gasket will leak if you put it on a 1994 or older E4OD with a 1994 or older pan.
The 1994 and older take the cork gasket.
So to use the newer pan on a 1994 or older E4OD as I have done you just need to put it on with the rubber (neoprene) gasket.
If I remember right the 1995 and newer pan has bigger holes for the round metal rings around the bolt holes.
And yes a 2 wheel drive takes a shallow pan and with the 4X4 you can uses either pan with the matching filter. The deep 4X4 or F53 takes the deeper pan and filter from the factory for better cooling.
