I am looking of the lower shock mounting bracket that attaches to the bottom of the axle on a '65 F350. This is a straight axle. They have been broken off on my truck, and I want to fix the front-end. Any one know of a salvage yard with one of these old work horses, or a private individual that might be willing to part with them? Any info is welcome. Thanks.
I will check my cross reference tonight to see if the '64 will work, but I am rather sure it will. Both were straight axles, and I cannot imagine they would be different. Ford didn't change the frontend on F350 for a couple more year; when they went tot he twin I beam like the F100's. I will let you know tomorrow. Thanks for the reply.
Got out my Hollander Interchange Manuals tonight and the 64 and 65 used the same front axle. If you know where I can get the lower shock mounting brackets for the fornt of my truck, I would appreciate the informtion, Chickentruck. Hope to hear back from you soon.
You are right! I am quickly reaching the limits to get past this new user probation, but at the moment I cannot use the email feature of the forum. However, you can. If you will drop me an email, I would like to know where I can find this part. Thanks for your input.
I'd think you'd be better off with new steel rather then old rusty stuff that will just brake off again.
I'm not sure exactly what you need but for my race car stuff i get my brackets for AA. They are chaeper then i could make them.
