Crank no start

Got an 09 6.4 250 less than 100k. With All the necessary deletes and h&s tune. Was cruising at 35 she started to boog down. I pulled over and it stalled out. Would only crank no start. Towed it home did an advanced scan hoping for any easy fix. Not so much. Lpfp seems to be running fine. Changed the fuel filters found a tiny amout of metallic shavings in the upper fillter housing. Computer got less that 5000psi to the fuel rail. But the scan showed many components lost contact with ecm/pcm A. Part of me feels the alternator may have been going bad and possibly fried the pcm with the help of the tuner. So Im torn between a pcm and a hpfp. Any help or experience on this issue would be appreciated..

Have you cleared the codes and did they return? Were you monitoring fuel pressure during cranking? FWIW, metal shavings in the upper filter is a bad sign. Did you see any rust in the bottom of the filter housing?
