Hi everyone, I recently got myself a 1978 F150 as a little project truck and so I actually have a truck for my house projects. It looks alright but will never be a show truck.
My first major project I want to do is replace all the brakes. When I first got it, I noticed the brake pedal was pretty much stuck. After doing some research on here I saw it was probably the power brake booster so I am working to replace that as well. I have it all detached except for the link pin that attaches to the brake pedal. It was so corroded that it wouldn’t move at all. I used plenty of wd-40 on it and now the pin moves in the bracket but on the old booster it doesn’t move at all still. So I’m not sure how to remove the pin in order to get the old booster out. Attached is a pic so you can see the piece I’m talking about. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
you should be able to pull the bolt at the bottom out and undo the connection to the brake pedal under the dash and pull the whole mess out. if you can't get the bolt out just pull the whole bracket out you need to clean it up and stop that rust anyway.
