Short to ground
ok so have 2003 e-450 v10. Had a slight miss on cylinders 6 & 8 fixed that, started and ran for 10 min drove a block and it shut offf. As I am not as seasoned as some this is what I came up with, check all components associated with ignition and sensors, all good. I have noticed the check engine light is no longer functioning and it turns out the pcm fuse was blown, replaced it and when I turned the ignition it blew again, I have part of the diagram obvious not the part I need I also have the pin out. I have traced back through the harness and can not see anything that should cause alarm, and I really didn’t move to much stuff around so I don’t know why I’m having this issue. If any suggestions please help

Check the fuse box, on top and the underside. Green ‘crusties’ can cause shorts. Also check for any signs of water coming in behind the dashboard, from the base of the windshield. Small critters can chew and damage wiring, and it can be difficult to track down wiring damage even after you look thoroughly.
