Shock Guards

Has anyone found/installed a nice set of shock shaft guards for the Fox 2.5 series shocks?

I've seen the King version(shown below), but am looking at other options, even custom made guards. I had an idea to try and use Black ABS pipe but haven't figured out how to mount it to the lower eyelet.

In any case, the shocks aren't going on until I have a good solution. They'll be pitted in short order from our dirt roads.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I did see those but they are for the Fox 2.0. Won't fit around the body or shaft of the 2.5 series.

Rubber boots and zip ties

honestly on other vehicles fab companies make bolt on shields/skids that protect the shaft. I think a bicycle inner tube would work though. the passenger side rear shock is definitely in prime spot to get wacked. Dont the King 2.5s mount "upside" down? Just buy those instead lolol

I wonder If I could mount the Foxes upside down. Shouldn't have an effect on function. I guess the rubber boots are the only option for now, but they look like **** and trap dust particulate.

are the bushings the correct size to be upside down? Since it's a pressurized IFP shock it should not matter if its upside down but smarter shock people would have that answer. Gotta buy new stickers and swap them around...get the new orange color scheme ones!

King sent me this pdf, and it looks like it clamps around the eyelet. Don't know if it includes the bearing plates for 7/8" shaft.

I do have the orange stickers and like the change. Also on another note I used beam clamps on the spring buckets instead of drilling. Works well if you need to mount a reservoir.

That'd be sweet, I'm still waiting for my rears so I have nothing to measure.

Wow what a difference

Like the proverbial kid in a candy store, I was told the UPS guy dropped off a box.

Got the rears installed yesterday. Truck rides amazing. The stock rears aren't worth the steel they're made of.

I am using some cheap Procomp boots for now. I asked the store if they could get their hands on a King roost guard as they are a dealer.

Lots of tweak options with the 2.5’s

i wanted to add the float oil So on the rears I bought a bracket that let me flip them.

bought a nitrogen tank and line kit and played for a few days until I was happy.

then I traded in the truck.
