Has anyone found/installed a nice set of shock shaft guards for the Fox 2.5 series shocks?
I've seen the King version(shown below), but am looking at other options, even custom made guards. I had an idea to try and use Black ABS pipe but haven't figured out how to mount it to the lower eyelet.
In any case, the shocks aren't going on until I have a good solution. They'll be pitted in short order from our dirt roads.
So I guess no one needs these? Must be a bunch of pavement queens.
Rubber boots and zip ties
honestly on other vehicles fab companies make bolt on shields/skids that protect the shaft. I think a bicycle inner tube would work though. the passenger side rear shock is definitely in prime spot to get wacked. Dont the King 2.5s mount "upside" down? Just buy those instead lolol

I wonder If I could mount the Foxes upside down. Shouldn't have an effect on function. I guess the rubber boots are the only option for now, but they look like **** and trap dust particulate.

are the bushings the correct size to be upside down? Since it's a pressurized IFP shock it should not matter if its upside down but smarter shock people would have that answer. Gotta buy new stickers and swap them around...get the new orange color scheme ones!

I do have the orange stickers and like the change. Also on another note I used beam clamps on the spring buckets instead of drilling. Works well if you need to mount a reservoir.
