new Dodge Ram
I switched over to Chevrolet with the 2019 Silverado and I am experiencing tons of electronic gremlins and poor handling. The ride is okay but the shocks get really jittery on dry dirt roads and the back end keeps fishtailing.
I never had that with any one of the F-150 and I deeply regret it.
It is no wonder Ford continues to be the highest selling trucks.
Ram has poor re-sale value, the $15,000 incentive you see at dealerships go poof after five years. Chevrolet offered $10k off MSRP so I took the bait because Ford didn't. Now, I regret it, the 2016 was the best truck, really solid and never gave me problems. NONE. I hear the new 2018 and after are having major issues with the V-8 so if I were in your shoes, I'd get the Ecoboost. Excellent performance and terrific gas mileage considering the power.
Ram may have the 5.7 Hemi but the gas mileage is not that great. I don't think the engine is having problems, but there are a lot of other issues with the Ram. And you will lose a lot more if you sell it five years later than either Chevrolet and Ford.
When I traded in my Ford F-150, it was either Ford or Chevrolet, I didn't consider the Ram after reading various forums, but I really should have kept the 2016 and waited until Ford ironed out its issues with the new V8 that came in 2018 and afterwards. I didn't want the Ecoboost, I only drive about 4,000 miles a year so the premium for the 3.5 Ecoboost wasn't worth it to me.
Hope that helps!
