I was wondering if anyone might have a service manual and be willing to share a few torque specs. Im looking for torque on the door strikes (and torx size) and torque on the bolts that hold the doors on. I would also like to check the various hardware in the bed used for the box link plates and tie downs. I know the bed bolt torque (129) but not the smaller misc. screws. Thank you.

Hi
Don't know the door striker torque but do know they use Torx Paralobe style drive. I used a Torx t40 and it worked okay but was loose. Snap-on truck should be able to set you up.

I had tried a T40 for fit and noticed it was loose too. The Paralobe style is a better fit?
Yeah and don't worry, the bed bolts aren't regular Torx anymore - they're not even regular External Torx - they're External Torx PLUS! A visit to my snap on guy and an obscene amount of money later I have this one single socket that does ONE thing. Crazy.

The bed bolt torque and socket I have. The socket was something like $12 from Napa but that style of bolt isnt easy to stay on when trying to torque above 100 lb.ft.

That's interesting, none of my local NAPAs had the EP Torx, my local snappy guy did. Once the socket is on there it is ON there. I find the grip to be really strong on the EP sockets. No issues torquing to spec.

My local Napa only stocked up to an ep22, so I had them order the 24 https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NPT615524P. Generally orders arrive in store next day. The height of the bolt head is only half the size of a comparable size standard bolt head, so what I found, as torque and effort increased, that it was difficult to keep the socket seated. It would slightly start to lean, for lack of a better word, in the direction of pull, and then lose its hold. Obviously it's not the socket, it's the operator, but my best couldn't get it to torque spec. I'm not sure if the fact that I was using a 150ftlb torque wrench had something to do with it, maybe a 250 ft lb wrench, because of a different leverage/length, might make a difference.

Do you mind sharing why your tightening & or loosening the striker bolts?
just curious bc i moved all my strikers to keep the doors in a slight bind bc they fit way too loose from the factory. My opinion is the strikers are too small in diameter.

My passenger side rear door sits out beyond the body more than I like. It's most noticeable at the bottom so may actually need some other adjustment, I'm going to bring the strike in just a little and see how I feel about it.
Since the title states misc specs looking to replace my front tow hooks removing the chrome ones and putting on the standard black. Anyone know where I can find the torque specs for when I put the new ones on?
