I was thinking roughly the same thing. Do any of these trucks cost $80k? Maybe $60-70k OTD?
But in reality, if it’s 0% then it’s buyers choice. I have seen some put cash down to get the payment decent for 36 mo/0% interest.
Financing $80k even at 0% would be a large monthly payment. When talking an F450 Limited I think close to $80 OTD could be close, depending on where one lives. My truck was $6,600 for ttl and is a good chunk cheaper than a limited.
0% financing is the best deal ever, especially for a big ticket item. I financed $60,700 for 66 months at 2.88% and the finance charge is $4,747. My payment is $832. At 7.9% it would be a $14,342 finance charge and $1,137 a month!
If Ford would have offered me 0% interest for 72 months, I would have financed the entire $80,700. The payment would be $1,121. Using someone else's money and not having to pay for the privilege is my favorite.

Agreed. At 0% it makes sense IMO. Yes, it’s a large payment but if a person can afford a 20-30% down payment on a large ticket item like this, then they can invest that money elsewhere and make the large payments.
Just purchased mine last week. Ask about 0% and was told he had not seen 0% offered for SD since he has worked there. Been at the dealership in Houston for 15 years.

Completely agree with you would be nice to do full amount at 0%. Regarding your deal, did you get the 2.88% thru Ford credit or other bank?
Can you share your build/options that you got for $80.7k? I’m waiting out for a 2020 F350 Platinum 6.7 with the following options:
3.55 E lock axle
FX4
ultimate Package
LED roof Marker/Clearance lamps
front and rear wheel liners
inflatable rear seatbelts
rapid heat supplemental can heater
upfitter switches.
best price on a 19 is $80,710, out of state. Best price here in Cali, $81,00
The 0% deal is a major factor in me upgrading, with 0% it doesn’t make sense to buy used. My problem is finding the truck I want locally, the truck has to be on the lot to take advantage of the deal.

2.88% was through California Coast Credit Union. I have accounts with Navy Federal and USAA as well but CCCU had the best available rate and because I do all my banking with them it was super easy.
My truck is nearly identical to the truck you are looking to build. It is a company vehicle (they pay me directly for it), and my employer stipulates no Class 3 trucks (looking to avoid DOT requirements) so I special ordered an F-250 with the High Capacity Trailer Tow Package. This option effectively makes the truck a F-350 with F-250 badges and ratings. The HCTTP and F-350 upgrades are priced similarly.

Reason: correction
I wish the specs were out on the 2020 (especially the 7.3) as if there isn't any real reason to upgrade I would consider using the 0% for 72 on a 19.....
I got 0% but not the employee pricing on my 2017 it was in November December of 2016. You just have to watch the build site and offers online. The way I made out on the 0% and what I got on trade and discount offers together made it possible for me to do the 2017, when I was thinking I would wait longer, into 2018 model year. Your right though, it seems the 0% is dependant on areas, and is not always US wide, or Canada wide. It was a total surprise on a new model year, late in 2016, so I jumped on it. I thought I would be waiting more like later 2018.
Fords financing rates are generally going to be higher than what can be found elsewhere, especially when they offer cash back with it. When I purchased they had 2 options, one with extremely high rates, double what could be found elsewhere, but came with 1K cash back. The other option was a lower rate, more competitive but still not low, that did not include any cash back. Their promotional rates don't seem to make much sense and are unpredictable, for example, last month was 7.9%/72 with $1K cash back and now its 5.9%/72 with $1K back. Other lenders auto loan interest rates haven't dropped across the board 2%, in-fact they have been gradually going up over the past couple years.
The best I was able to find beginning of last month from a local CU was 3.75%/72.
0% on a SuperDuty in the southern US is almost unheard of. I don't ever recall seeing that available here. F150, yes, Expedition or Explorer, yes, Superduty, no. However, being an RVer I would have zero reservations about taking a nice leisurely jaunt to New England to get a good deal on a truck.
