Parts truck engine locked up, here's why..

We knew the engine in the parts truck was locked up when we bought it, the previous owner didn’t know anything about why. His grandfather parked it years ago. When we pulled the front clip off, we did notice the snout of the crankshaft was not centered in the opening of the timing cover, so when we pulled the engine out Tuesday evening, we just had to pull the pan to see what was going on.

Wow, I’ll bet that made a loud noise….

Are you going to pull it on down? Curious as to what the rest looks like.
That must have hurt when it let go.

I pulled the plugs out and filled the cylinders with Marvel Mystery Oil about two weeks ago. Didn’t fix it... maybe I should have put it in the crankcase since that’s where the problem was. Hindsight....😉
