Vehicle: 1992 Ford F250 7.3. I do not know if this will help anyone, but I hope it does. I had no speedometer today; so after some research it seemed easy enough. It is a straight forward repair, 13mm + flathead is all you need. It is located on the forward top part of the rear differential. The part cost 17-20$ and I located it under Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), Part #2VSS60 at O'Reilly's. This might be wrong terminology, but will narrow it down for you enough at a parts store. (Somebody correct me please if I am wrong).
Also check fuse #8 first to ensure that is not the problem. If it is and you do not have a fuse you can take the cigarette lighter fuse (both are 15amp). The owners manual will tell you where it is located.
Heres a terrible video of it for the next poor soul that needs help like myself.
