Summer 2019 BS Thread

Yes. I suddenly realized it's July so time to start the summer thread. We're still doing dinner's every month. So lets get an idea of where we want to go and who we want to include. I'm going to start the job search in real time this week. Being laid off has been fun, and relaxing, but it's time to get some cash flow going. Catherine didn't plan on marrying an out of work bum, and I feel like it's time to get going. So guess I have to decide if I want to go back into an IT position and bring in the big bucks again, or turn wrenches and be happy for a little while doing something fun.

In other news. Stopped by Dave's house the other day, as I was passing by and saw the garage open. The style side he's working on is coming along nicely. Drooled over his bumpers and picked up the bumper he offered me months ago. (more like years really). Going to work on moving the shop tools over.

Well guess that's about it for me. Catherine and the kids got back from visiting the Great Grandparents. So things are a little hectic around here again. Just the way I like it.

Hope everyone had a good fourth this year.

We had a pretty quiet 4th here. Tim has been out of town since the 3rd, Shari and Samantha spent the day running around antique malls, and I baby sat the smoker and mowed the yard between rain showers. We made it to my buddy's place yesterday afternoon for a late 4th get together.
Now to get Rocky settled back down since the fireworks are over with. He dose not like the noise at all.

Spent the 4th around the house, and didn't go out to see fireworks because I had to be up for work at 4am Friday morning. Got work over with and went by BB&T to open up a checking/savings account for me, a checking account for the wife, and a savings account for the baby. The small town local bank we were with is shutting down 4 out of 5 local branches so I decided it was time to switch banks before they went under.

That's a heck of lot bigger than the ones I always see at the outer banks. Maybe they just don't grow as big down here in the warmer waters?

Shari and I love Tennessee, we actually thought about buying a place there instead of Missouri. But we wanted to get back home.
We always hit Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg areas. Stayed in Gatlinburg when the 5 tree's fell on my 2011 F150.

Well,
First Job interview today. Fingers crossed and hoping for some luck. Just to reduce stress I wrenched on the Preacher's Expy and took a nap ahead of time. So Should be ready!

i wish this triple digit heat would go away... the "new" AC unit they put in during the fall i think it was keeps freezing up.. i have to keep turning it off so that itll "thaw" and blow cold instead of heat...
