Anyone have a problem wearing a hole in their cloth seats?

I've worn a couple holes in my seatback in my Screw, discovered it was from my Otterbox on my Note9. I'd like to replace the cover, anyone done it yet? Kicked around going Katskinz but heard bad fitment and I prefer a stock look.

I love the Katzkin in my truck. They fit as good as factory and seem tougher than the last two Fords I had with factory leather. Time will tell how they last.

My dad put Kazkins in his. Looks great and they are a better quality than the factory leather in my opinion. Another company doing quality aftermarket leather is Classic Soft Trim.

I always have to remember to pull my phone out of my back pocket now as I have noticed a wear spot from it.

I'm pushing 76K miles on my '15 and the seats look almost as good as new. Now with that said, I don't sit on my phone or wallet. I take them both out of my pockets. Can't stand to sit on them. I also don't wear anything that has velcro. Levis shorts or jeans for this one.

It's a 15 job to replace the seat cover, it's so easy! I pulled mine off to do heated seats. Just fold the seat forward and unclip the two plastic clasps and the very bottom of the seat back. Take the headrest off and roll the old seat cover up and off. There is some velcro holding the cloth but it comes apart easily.

No problem with Katzkin here, actually very happy with them and are OEM style.

I wish my 2018 would have wear a hole appear in them. They are the worst fabric I’ve ever had in a Ford. If it rains and I open the door, they spot. I’m always sliding down in them wearing jeans. Maybe it’s tome to get Katskinz and sell the cloth covers.

Katskinz estimate on the cheapest set is $1700 installed, does that sound right?

Found a seller on eBayMotors, oemresale 15657 with 99.7% positive feedback. Anyone deal with them? Only deal is, I don't have a center console, I have the stupid fold down 6th seat, and I'd want covers for it as well, this set doesn't show them.

$1700 sounds a little steep, I paid just under $1200, could have purchased kit on eBay for $600 but not exactly what I wanted. My salesman gave me name of company the dealership uses, Contacted them directly, mentioned my salesman from dealership recommended them, even dropped off at dealership, company picked up and dropped off. May have gotten dealer price was installed a year after purchasing truck and I paid company not dealership.

The link I provided was a set of factory upholstery that I assume was removed from either a wrecked truck or a truck converted to leather.

You need to find a auto upholstery shop. If its the bolster panel that has a hole in, that can be easily replaced with factory material. However if you want to change the color on all the seats, that won't work. I had a problem early on with my XLT. I didn't have holes in them but the material was shredding. Truck only had 500 miles on it. Ford replaced the seat covers (Both front seats), under warranty. There is a thread here about the problem if your interested do a search.

Another option I considered was to purchase the Ford OEM leather seat covers from one of the online Ford parts suppliers which was surprisingly reasonable ( $100 to $150/seat). But then would have to find someone to install and was told by multiple Ford salesman the Katzkin was better quality.
I had a seat repaired in 97 Expy I purchased used and cost me $500 to replace one panel with OEM leather that was torn.
