65 F350

Saw a 65 F350 at least it had a 65 grill in it. It was a 4wd flare side long box, by the looks 9 ft. It had a plow mounted to it and it was at the airport parked at one of the FBO's so it has probably spent its entire life at the airport as there was also a 63 2wd flare side parked beside it. What threw me about this 4wd was it had 64 and older side emblems that were on the fenders and not the hood. I can't imagine that this truck has ever been wrecked. Did 65 F350's have the 64 and older emblems on them but on the fender and not the hood?

1965/66 F350, 1965/66 F250 4x4 and 1965 F100 4x4 all used the older shield type of bezel on the fender instead of the newer oval shaped bezel

FYI both the 65 and 66 250s and 350s had them on the fender but they are NOT the same as 64s for the hood, one is convex, the other concave, last time I checked on ebay there were 6 or 7 and every one of them was a hood emblem, sadly all but one were listed as fender emblems. I mistakenly bought one that was labeled simply as a ford badge emblem. The one Chad posted is of course and indeed a fender one, from the back it is easy to differentiate, two dead giveaways are the thickness or depth of the tops of the letters AND the three pins are inverted, hood has one on top, two on the bottom and the fender has two on top and one on the bottom. If you see them in pics and can make out the shadows of the pins you can tell right away. That hood one is for sale if anyone needs one, the chrome is literally perfect, it is missing a few tabs.
