In addition to the Mustang...he was instrumental in developing the Pinto...Maverick...Lincoln Continental. When he was fired from Ford by Henry II he was also pushing the development of a mini van. He almost singlehandedly saved Chrysler corporation with the Caraven...based on the K-Car platform that he pushed. For those of us old enough...we remember that he was the first car executive to approach the government for a loan guarantee to bail out Chrysler. He was the only one to head 2 of the Big 3 as well. RIP

Lee was certainly a man with vision and the personality to build confidence in the operations he headed up----without him being as instrumental as he was who knows how much different the car world would be these days?

He wasn't embroiled in scandals or huge controversies during his public life---that's a trait I admire more and more these days.

RIP Indeed.
