Yep, you would eventually go to jail. As stated a couple of posts above they are either not too bright or not too honest. If they know there is a lien and the bank then it's their duty to notify them. They are stealing parts from the truck and selling them and yes, they can be prosecuted. The ironic part is it's possible dad may have had a credit life policy on the loan and it might be paid for anyway. If that is the case then they screwed themselves anyway. It's people like this that make the interest rates go up so loan businesses have to compensate for their losses. Same with insurance, prices could go down if fraud would go away.
