So I have a 70 camper special with factory disc/drum setup. It appears the booster is incorrect and was likely swapped at some point and a PO put in the drum/drum variant. It works but is kinda hard to push. Id like to get a dual diaphragm(54-73112) version or something like kind. My brake light is also on and I believe has been for quite some time, just unplugged(I just got the truck) leading me to believe the spool is stuck in the pressure differential valve one side or the other. Assuming that to be my case, are my options as follows.
I nominate number 1 but I also eliminated the differential valve on mine and instead install an adjustable prop valve on the rear brake line. The booster is another issue, they don't exist! No one has had them in years, its down to a rebuild only service.
Also, can I just tie the two wires together to the light(ive read they are anyway) and attach to a single feed like in the proportional block above. That way my light works how its supposed to on a modern vavlve?
