2002 6.8L EX CHT Sensor Test
Hello everyone I apologize if this is a duplicated thread or if there is somewhere in the forum that this was addressed. If so please point me to the appropriate forum. I have a 2002 V10 6.8 2 valve excursion with a cylinder head temperature p1289 code. I am pretty sure it is unrelated however it is the same error fault I am also getting a p0113 code for the air intake temperature sensor. Both sensors say hi input as the error. When checking ECT on my scanner it says -40 degrees. I have replaced the sensor first because the sensor was physically broken. I have noticed that instead of the issue being intermittent it is now a solid condition where my temperature gauge is pegged all the way down and a check gauge light has appeared on the dash. please note that the truck can only be started with the accelerator pedal pushed down causing a clear flood mode. I have also observed slight missing and a very rough idle with the vehicle stalling when put into drive in some situations.what would the procedure be to test this particular sensor and if there is a related issue across other sensors from the PCM?

You've got multiple issues.
Start with the connector and wiring for the CHT sensor. your readings indicate that you have an open in that circuit.
It also sounds like you've got either a large vacuum leak or a faulty IAC valve.

Testing
Forgive my ignorance as I normally don't dabble in electrical testing this will be my first major issue I will be diagnosing. How should I perform the test on the CHT? Also is there any easy way to check for vacuum leaks I don't hear any obvious hissing sounds. Would any of the lines for the four by four hubs cause a leak?
