I find it interesting they only offer it with a 7.3 or 6.7, does that mean the 6,2 is gone in 2020, or just for this package you have to get the beefier motors?
The 6.2 is on the way out. It makes no sense to manufacturer both. No FOMC is not going to tell you yes we are going to discontinue in 2020 or 2021 for that matter, it will just be announced along with what is coming in the coming production year. The fan boys will howl otherwise but the 6.7 is getting significantly upgraded internally along with the new 7.3 gas motor. Handwriting is on the wall the 6.2 is on the way out to pasture in the Super Duty just like the F150.
Maybe FOMC will just eventually only offer the 6.2 on a base 2wd model that way they can still have a cheap version who knows... Note the gear ratio for the gas truck with this package. That means Ford would have had to have yet another set of gearing for the weaker engine.
I just love how people think it's on the same level as a power wagon....like mentioned already, no winch, no sway bar disconnects. I'm sure they'll sell like crazy though, at a crazy markup considering what you're getting. And also like mentioned, 90% of us have our trucks setup very similar to this new package. Maybe that's why it looks so good, Ford took some notes lol.
Nice truck. Just bought a 19 Lariat. Im already 1.5 or 2 inches taller than a stock 2020. I have 4.30 locking rear. The front posi sounds interesting. The visual aesthetic is great. Kind of off road sport package. Im also interested in exactly what shocks those are... maybe a good upgrade for the 17+ trucks? I also did buy aftermarket running boards that look closely like the Raptor boards.
All in all it looks like they built something I would buy. Every single one of these trucks is too expensive. So likey this will end up and even more expensive... expensive truck. Cant wait to see what the big block gas is all about..
Not at all sad I ordered my 2019 though. I can buy most of all that stuff. I have loved the Duratracs for 3 sets now on my previous 2500 HD... BUT... the last pair wore like crap and were impossible to keep balanced. One even felt like it was warped or something. I probably wont buy them again even though they have been the best tires I ever had on a truck. Going to try the Nitto Ridge Graps when I wear out my Michelins.

Very Spot on comment. Sure I would love the capability of the Power Wagon which will go places the Tremor will not. On the other hand for me no longer need the disconnecting sway bars (they do work great) and for me the 18 inch wheels and tires have to go. If Ford DID offer a factory mounted winch and everything still worked with the Intelli Cruise I would be the first in line.
Winch will be tough in the diesel without a new bumper. Not sure on the gas with the new 7.3. This is why the power wagon has a winch and is only available in gasoline engine - winch wont fit on the diesel PW also.
I’m a F150 guy so I would never buy or have the need for a SD.
With that being said, that blue Tremor with the black trim looks very, very cool indeed.
I dont get the power wagon or factory extreme offroad theme on full size trucks. Maybe a standard cab, but a quad cab, full size truck is just so limited in where it can go. The wheelbase, turning radius, overall size, too many things going against it. And that marketing come on, who's going to rock crawl one of these things. For me, serious wheeling is done with more compact rigs. I do like the look and I think every truck should have 4x4 and lockers regardless of size as well as good quality shocks.
I'm interested to see what they did to the front suspension, my stock 250 feels like it hits the bump stops just crawling over speed bumps.
@ForCal I agree with that 100%....i read they did progressive springs. The shocks are still trash IMO though.

Neither of those are anywhere on my list of needs or wants but i see why people want them. However i think the "tremor" is setup for those guys who don't wanna mess with their truck, just buy it and put it to use getting to lease land, hunting spots, or whatever. and still be able to use the truck for work.

Just as a FYI some of us have to "work" where the capability of the option packages being discussed are needed Yes it would be great to BUY a truck and only have to replace tires and wheels nothing else... After almost 40 years that would be GREAT!
