Running out of excuses to keep procrastinating my core support swap but I do have a question. Can I finagle the core support out with out draining my radiator and disconnecting the trans cooler. Is draining them required to keep the ac condenser intact and charged? I am installing an OEM one I pulled from a 2wd and painted up. Should outlast the rest of the truck.
not sure why sig does not post from phone.

I recently replaced my radiator support and I did not drain / remove the radiator and did not disconnect AC. My truck is a 1995 with 4.9L and dealer-installed AC. It really wasn't too bad.
Replaced mine in the the ‘89 two weeks ago. I also did not remove the radiator. I used a third arm to help maneuver the condenser in and out of the support.
When reinstalling the platic support pannel for the head lights/grill, the two 8mm fasteners next the lower corner tabs for the grill are too far forward for the fasteners to sink into the speed nuts on the lower lip. I had a little difficulty getting the lower lip lined when putting it back on but it was workable by leaving the two fasteners on 1 side just barely started and starting the other two at the same time. Hanging the grill inplace, the grill and head light surrounds appear to stick out a bit further than they should. The other 9 fasteners to the core support and fenders lined up pretty well.
