Havent driven the truck in about 6 years, been in rebuild status. Cranks and runs perfect. Revs in neutral perfect. When placing in any gear and rev it begins to tick or click when clutch engages the gear. And clicking accelerates with throttle. Any takers? Engine was replaced by previous owner.... a flywheel issue? Or clutch?
Update: initial clicking when in gear went away but returned a little when accelerating at high throttle.
Well than to me "sounds" no pun intended, like probably a throw out bearing. IMO a lifter ticks and a throw out bearing chatters. Sorry I am at a loss of words at the moment to describe a clutch chatter. Like air spinning a dry wheel bearing maybe?
