A while back I had some trouble with my transmission after I loaned it to my little brother to drive. He called and told me that it was stuck in gear and couldn't get it out of 1st while the truck was shut off. After showing up and messing with the slave cylinder and master cylinder I got it out of gear and was able to get her home. Since then I have had a hissing
Sound whenever the clutch it out. As soon as I press he clutch in the hiss goes away. Now I am having trouble shifting and getting it in gear from a dead stop. I has gotten so bad that when I come to a stop I will downshift into 2nd or 1st and keep it in gear so I don't have to fight with it to get it in gear. Now I don't think te clutch is bad due to the fact that when I get it in gear the clutch grabs like 1mm off of the floor. And when I drive a long distance it will get so bad that sitting at a light with the clutch touching the floor I will still inch forward. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?
Clutch fork or Throw out bearing if you ask me. The sound sounds like throw out bearing to me but the inching forward sounds more like a clutch fork issue. Could be both i suppose someone will come along with more knowlegde then myself. Good luck!
