For those interested in adding a protective coating to the inside of our boxed frames, but not sure how to get the coating on all of the interior surfaces, Eastwood has an internal frame aerosol coating with a 24" extension tube and tip that spays in many directions. I used it before on my 05 F-150 once I noticed some rust through on the inside vertical face on the driver's side frame rail (yes, Ford boxed frames can rust from the inside out). I cleaned out all the rust scale I could and the coating did seem to slow down the rust spread. With my F-250, I want to be more pro-active and coat the inside of the frame before it rusts, as Ohio uses a lot of salt in the winter.
I want to give Fluid Film a try, but didn't see how I could use their aerosol with the typical little straw applicator. As Eastwood's applicator can be purchased separately, I contacted Fluid Film about Eastwood's applicator and was told that it could be used with their aerosol can. While I have not tried it yet, it looks like there are two "do-it-yourself" products that we might use to coat our frames to protect against rust.

Hello,
Thank you for your interest in our product. The Aerosol with the eastwood attachment will work excellent for the inside of a box frame. If you are ever looking to do a full undercoating or have multiple vehicles to undercoat I would recommend the bulk product and an undercoating gun.
If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
