Anyone have a picture of a good mud mudflap idea? Interested in saving the finish on on everything I tow plus the bottom rear corners of my bed. I found a few pics online, nothing wowed me. My beater
Lmc sells the little flaps that attach to the back of your wheel wells. But I don’t really know how well those really do with large tires, or in really muddy conditions.
If you need really good coverage you might use the flaps in the wells, and separate full-size flaps hung below the bumper. A truck with a lift and bigger tires will throw crud under the wheel wells. My stock height truck does.
Here is my beater and the PO installed "drag inducers". Big as hell, but they worked better for the bed than the back part of the cab/rocker. Made out of aluminium tread plate. I have since removed them and got 4 more MPG.

I could cab up a tow set I guess and do a fender well flap. For 4 mpg eat all the paint you want. I switched from from gv tk03 to cooper at3. Both sling rocks for days!
These would look so much better if the top of the flap was flush with the fender well so as to no be sticking out so much. Might not be quite as effective, but better looking. Just my $0.02 worth.
Dunno if this strikes your fancy, but it looks like they come in different sizes, one of which might work for your needs:
Nothing beats them in terms of coolness!
That’s awesome. I was just asking my wife if she remembered those flaps! I had that tattooed on my arm in basic training minus the script. I’m loving those!
First truck I ever drove was a 1970 F250 2WD, and it had those on the back. I will be getting some for my truck eventually. I consider them to be very period-correct for our trucks.
