Question a couple questions

Hi everyone, I'm new to FTE and since I own a couple trucks from the '67-'72 model years, I will be spending the majority of my time here.

I had some questions about my trucks and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone had any information in regards to them.

#1 - Since my trucks are a few years old now, rust is inevitable. The inner fenders on both are in need of replacing (more so the 69 than the 68) and what is a reputable place to get replacement parts for these trucks? (as well as other body parts)

#2 - My '69 appears to have come off the assembly line rather well dressed. It has carpet, nice door panels, a comfortable cloth seat, deluxe gauges, and a second fuel tank along the inner driver's frame rail (with an enclosed spout coming through the box floor and out the upper LH box side - about a foot back from the cab) I was told that was a factory installed option, is that true?

#3 (kind of a continuation of 2) - also my grill and boxsides have Ranger emblems attached - the one in grill is a chrome rectangle with a red insert and chrome Ranger lettering and the ones on the boxsides are chrome writing. but inside the cab on the glove compartment, there is an Explorer emblem. Is my truck a ranger or an explorer?? or is it both and I happen to have a decked out truck?

Please feel free to ask questions about my trucks, as I am more than happy to talk about them. I am going home this coming weekend (for Thanksgiving - Canada) and I will take some pics to post here. I will also get the VIN and any other info I can find in these trucks, in case some of you need more information.

Thank you

Let's see, how do I do this diplomatically. #1 This site has an online store. When other parts vendors are mentioned in the forum, their names are bleeped. If you cannot find what you need at this sites parts store, perhaps then a search engine can help you locate parts retailers.
#2&3. It is a Ranger. Explorer trim didn't come about untill the 70's. The second gas tank is the factory option, from what I gather from your description.

I'd like to make a slight correction to this statement. Other vendors are frequently noted with no editing or bleeping. There is one (maybe two) that are bleeped out because of a longstanding issue. No big deal.

"Explorer" was a trim level like "Ranger" on the earlier trucks. The Explorer trucks had stripes that started in the front of the hood, went down and over the hood edges, and then down the sides of the truck. It also said "Explorer" above the stipe in the rear of the truck above the rear side marker light. There was also a hood emblem, and glovebox emblem that said "Explorer." I think the interior was also upgraded.
