Thank you for the photos! The other ones will be a huge help for comparison when you get a chance to get them. Thank you.

Sorry I was meaning the plastics behind the seat that surround my window. My dash pad is solid as a rock as the last owner repaired it and then rock guarded it haha. So I don't think it will fall apart anytime soon on me.

Both of my truck did not have any of that fancy molding stuff.
I would say if you can get it off in 1 piece to do the fiber glass trick on the back side to keep in as one piece then fix the out side as needed to look good.

Part of the reason I was asking is my dad does have a 1978 F150 and I also have a 1960 Chevrolet Apache 10 and I love the simplicity of the metal cab with minimal plastics inside. That was my initial reason for wondering if that would be a good way to go if I cannot find plastics that are better then mine. I do realize there will be some screw holes that need to be filled. But I would be okay with that.

What is the road noise like in these kinds of interiors?
Doesn’t the noise reverberate like being in a tin bucket?

Not that I have noticed. You will obviously notice more road noise to a certain extent. But I never minded that. We have just become spoiled now due to our plastic filled interiors of new vehicles. The time when they were simple is what I prefer.

Here's a picture of the other truck that HAD a headliner. Looks like they just kept all the original trim. Looks pretty good either way!

Yeah I thought so too. That truck has a lot of weird little nuances that I haven't seen before.

No FORD on the tailgate
No emblems on the fenders
Never seen one in the same color or with the pinstriping going down the side

Yet came with A/C??

Is that common?

It might have been a Fleet truck, or maybe it has aftermarket body parts.

Thank you everyone for the input. Today I really lucked out and found an entire truck at the wreckers that had every piece I was looking for interior wise in mint condition. And picked it all up for a really good price too. Even found a nice seat I'll pick up next week when I get paid. Even found a few parts for my dads 1978 F150.

That actually still looks really good. I wouldn't miss the headliner. Seeing as mine is toast anyways this may be the route I go.

You find any other trim at your wrecker let me know I'll pay you for it. Really could use A pillar trim, would be interested in others.

They had lots of passenger side A Pillar trim that was in good shape still. But this was the only one where the drivers side was still intact. The ones I saw were mostly for with headliners. I think there was one set for without but one side is cracked but could be repaired. The ones that the driver side was cracked is a split in the middle. So could easily be repaired. Only downside is I am in Canada so shipping could potentially be expensive.

It was a fleet truck. For two years before my family got it it was used for installing power lines for a local company in Tucson.

Had no idea they made them any differently!
