Possible leak??

I'm not totally sure what this area is. I wanting to find out and if it's cause for concern?? Thanks in advanced.
While I was underneath my truck looking around checking things out and taking pictures I noticed this on the passenger side I believe engine block exhaust area.

It could be the head gasket, or it might be the valve cover above the exhaust manifold. If it's the head gasket, just leave it alone until it gets worse is my advice.
