Never mind. I found a pair that cleaned up nicely. (I had to buy the whole axle though).

They did clean up nice, and the silver paint looks ok. I would get those two from Bigwin.

Got everything cleaned up and put as much as I could back together. Got all the parts ordered or have them already. As soon as all comes in, I can put back together, bleed the brakes and hopefully be good to go! But with my luck, we will see how that goes.

On the spindle pictures above, there is a groove for a square key. (Like a flywheel key) But I don’t have anything that would require the key though. Nothing I took off had the key that I know of

King pins seem to be tight. The little jimmy mentioned before was not the king pin but the brake carrier plate.

Did you tighten up that backing plate? That's held on by four bolts with castellated lock nuts. Mine were loose too so rather than re-pinch the nuts I replaced them with Stover lock nuts.

The flat washer behind the nut has a index to fit the groove to keep the preload of the nut in check

I noticed they were weird nuts. Thought they were high nuts but then saw the castle as well. I tighten them pretty good. Didn’t notice a tab on the washer but that would make sense.

Mine were just plain flat SAE washers (thicker and harder than hardware store variety).
