Bought a 2000 F-250 base model with a 5.4 automatic. The dome light wasn't working but I figured it was a blown bulb. Turned out the windshield wipers, washer, dome light, and key buzzer all weren't working. Long story short, the black/ pink striped wire was off on the ignition switch. I put it back on with no difference and after a little googling I figured out what it was. I tried everything I could think of so I jumped a hot wire to the black/pink wire and everything that wasn't working started working! Buzzer buzzed, light came on, and I tried the wiper, it worked for a revolution then everything sort of reset. I'm guessing whatever powers these items isn't working and I've checked all fuses and relays. Anyone have an idea or wiring schematic of what controls all these items?
Thanks for the fuse box diagram, my next step I guess will be to remove the fuse box and check the wires but the black/pink wire is on the ignition tumbler. I believe it's the key in buzzer wire that people are cutting to do away with the buzzer or chime.
Here is the ignition switch diagram. The first thing to do is make sure you have power on the Yellow and the Light Green/Violet wires. If you do it's a bad ignition switch. If you don't then start tracing.
