Use your side mirrors to cover what you can't see out of your rear window. Drives my wife crazy when I use her car and I don't put the mirrors back to her setting.

I don't use the inside mirror much out of habit, I look at the outsides first.

Just saw a Nissan commercial on TV, I think that it was for the Armada. They had a St Bernard dog in the backseat that blocked the rearview mirror. The driver reached up and flipped the lever on the mirror and voila...clear view of the road again. Looks like this is going to be a fairly standard feature on new high-end SUVs which means that there will be a bigger supply of parts soon.

Would be a handy feature for my panel...

Nice set up but for my set up in the panel hiding some of the wires will require me to do some disassembling and not sure I'd bother. Definitely something to think about for another project though.
I watched this video too
