I've been hunting around in here for a while and haven't found any real definitive info. I do a lot of wild swaps, last I did was putting a 48 ford on a 2000 F550 chassis. It worked in the end but I had to move the front leafs back 6" to make the whole thing work. Pain in the ****. I want to work with coils rather than leafs so I want to go with an F350 or an E350 this time. I like the E350 because it's snub nose will make it easier to work with the tiny truck I put on. But I'm wondering if there are any differences in the front suspensions other than maybe location of the steering stuff. I haven't been able to find good diagrams of either vehicles front suspension from the 2000 era. I want to use lowering parts for an F350 but not sure how that will work out on a E350.
Dunno the details, but I know they are not the same. I just did the Pittman arm, tie rods, ball joints. NAPA did not have a Pittman arm for my E350 in their system. One of the gals there called a buddy at a local Ford dealer, who did some cross checking and said that the F350 Pittman arm is the same part number. NAPA had the F350 version, so I thought I was good.
Not even close. Longer by about an inch, with a very different bend to it.
I don't think the F350 and E350 share a single part in the front suspension and not many at all on the whole vehicle besides long block and transmission.

For the most part that's completely true---sadly for we E-Series owners. The steering columns will interchange between certain years but that's rare.
