I just installed all my new suspension. I decided to take Pirates recommendations and did the Procomps with Bilstien shocks. I also had XRF ball joints and steering links plus Bilstien single steering stabilizer. I followed the alignment specs that he recommended as well. So on my first test drive on the highway I was experiencing wander and it felt kind of scary. I guess it was just because of all the new parts just having to settle in. I’ve put close to 1000 miles on it now and it drives amazing. I even caught myself doing 80mph with one hand on the wheel, which I never drive that way. My overall impression on this setup is 👍👍. No rear sway bar, has some body roll but it feels like it flows smoothly on the road.
1. Measurement from Center of hub straight up to bottom of fender arch front and back ?
2. Tire size and psi you are running ?
3. Can you Post a pic of your alignment specs ?
4. Are you running the front sway bar ?
my concern is you mention wander after the install, to be sure it takes some time to get used to having a mid-travel suspension after being used to a short travel, but I wouldn’t expect it to be described as wander.

1. Measurement from Center of hub straight up to bottom of fender arch front and back ? 27” front and back
2. Tire size and psi you are running ? 325/60/20 I’ll have to check psi. Any recommendations?
3. Can you Post a pic of your alignment specs ? Do not have them but was told the specs you gave were no problem
4. Are you running the front sway bar ? Yes
i think the wander may have been from the XRF ball joints. I think I’ve read about someone else having the same issue resolve itself after a few hundred miles.
Excellent! I've had the same experience driving the Ex. Before I never drove much faster than 65-70, now the Ex wants run over the traffic at 70-75. I'm running 285/75/16.

.
according to the load and inflation charts you need 40 psi rear to support the max GAWR of 5250
35 psi will support a payload equal to the front axles GAWR of 4700 lbs. https://www.toyotires.com/media/2125...s_20170203.pdf
2680 per tire @40 psi x 2 = 5360 rear payload capacity
2535 per tire x 2 = 5070 front payload capacity
10,430 or 1230 lbs over the 9200 GVWR so plenty of safety margin.
obviously adjust accordingly if you run higher then any of the vehicle weight ratings.
also don’t be afraid to do some testing and run various pressure to fine tune the handling , try running 40/40 or even 45/45 and see if you prefer those
Fwiw, I prefer not running the stock sway bar as it is to big and placed poorly to work with your new mid travel suspension, it is limiting the front wheel travels articulation to the stock travel. I have been running without a front sway bar at all and prefer it to the stock bar, I do have a smaller front sway bar but have not had time to test it yet. ( not in a huge hurry because it works very well without “

Hey Gabe- truck looks terrific. A few questions of my own:
Do I understand that you've upgraded to the Pro Comp suspension from ATS X/C springs (not stock)?
If so, and it's the change from the X/C setup to Pro Comp that you're referencing-- can you please get specific on how the two compare?

No the truck in my sig is my old previous Ex. Guess I should update that. As for comparison, they both drove great but different. The previous Ex had a much stiffer ride and handled great for a big truck where as the current one has a smooth softer feel when going over rough terrain or road bumps. I can tell you that the family says it’s a more comfortable ride with this setup. You definitely notice the difference between the short travel and mid travel springs. My previous Ex had a rear sway bar and this current one doesn’t and I don’t think it’s necessary. I replaced ball joints on both trucks with an alignment and feel like that made the biggest improvement in ride quality overall.
