Need some info - pulley problems

Can anyone tell me what this pulley is referenced as? and or part number for it? It

has the wobbles.

I ordered a high glow water pump from FlowKooler. While I have everything taken apart, I just as well replace some stuff. I did order drive belt pulley by the A/C. This one is directly under the A/C.

It's called the A/C fixed idler. if it's on an FE they are no longer available anywhere I've been looking. there are used ones on ebay.

I'm told there is a way to put new bearings in one but since I don't have one yet I'm not sure what bearings or how it's done.

That's a huge bummer, well... I'll take a look at this weekend and I'll post some close up pictures. I'd be tempted to put puller on it, but I don't want to break it.

So, I just came across a post that refreenced that as this part # D0AZ-8678-B

After doing some searching, it lead me to this part. https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/c5zz-2990-a.html

this weekend I am going to take closer look at it to see if this would work.

That looks like the right one. thanks for finding it.

You can get by without it if you run your belt as tight as a fiddle string. but you'll still get a little belt slap when the compressor is running. putting a new bearing in would be worth your while.

I completely agree, I have no idea if this is the correct part or not... only one way to find out. When I pull it out this weekend i will closely inspect it

This is not an idler pulley, it's the A/C's compressor clutch and pulley assembly (2891 in pic). The field (2987) is a separate part, a bit of it can be seen in the background.

The clutch has a bearing inside that is replaceable.

What the hell??!! D0AZ-8678-B idler pulley does not look anything like this! The pulley itself is much smaller and it bolts to the compressors support bracket.

Pic: See 8678, 2891, 2987.

I think it' the idler under the compressor he's looking for.

This isn't my first truck. Look closer, the one with the big blue circle around it in the picture. Below the A/C clutch..... get your glasses on.... I'll wait

That may be, but the OP circled the compressor clutch, in the background you can see a bit of an idler pulley.

Look at the parts catalog pic. Notice the right & left idler pulleys.

Plus, D0AZ-8678-B is a fixed idler pulley for a Passenger Car w/a 429/460 or 1973/79 F100/350 460.

360/390 is different and there's a right and left.
