Primed the grille this morning. Color coated this evening. I’m going to have to strip it all off. It’s all bubbly. Like the primer and the paint don’t match. They are supposed to be both acrylic enamal. Dosent say it on the can if it is it not. I know they tried to sell me urethane reducer. I caught that and had them switch it. Color, reducer, and hardener all seemed to mix well. I don’t know what’s going on.
Acrylic enamel is not that common anymore , more acrylic urethane but if your reducer and hardener are proper then it shouldn't have been a problem . Did you force dry or just air and at what temp ? Could you post a pic ?
Had similar issues with several different materials. If first coat is not fully flashed and cured, coat # 2 will bubble or crack, and if using a clear over color same thing. yea I pushed it to fast and got to enjoy the sanding process again.
