Used Parts
My neighbor and I have similar hobbies, working on cars and working with wood. One day he decided to learn how to make a cigar box guitar. When finished it looked nice and played a tune. This gave us an idea for a use for the old gauges.
I went shopping at Hardel's lumberyard in Olympia for a hardwood to use for the guitars. I couldn't decide which two I liked best so I went home with 4 different varieties. I found 2 more dash gauges on EBAY and made 4 guitars, each out of a different wood. They are Bloodwood, Bubinga, Shedua and Wenge. They make noise thru an amp but were but were not made to be a playing instrument.

If you were closer to Pennsylvania you could bring a couple to the Central PA Truckstock in September and play a few tunes round the campfire.
Is there any way you can get a video of one of those playing for us all to see and hear? That would be so cool.
