88’ zf5 drain plug

88’ zf5 drain plug
Does anyone know the size of the drain plug on a 88 f250 zf5? Most places have it listed as a m22 hex head, like a normal drain plug, but the ones in my trans more resemble a larger differential plug, as in 3/8 ratchet size hole in a plug, also larger than an m22. Almost like fine pipe thread also. Any help here as to why mine are different than all the others I can find would be appreciated

The one on mine out of a '96 is a hex head, M22. I wonder if someone put that differential style plug in there because that's all they had lying around. Could have lost or stripped the original hex head?

I’m not sure, these ones are bigger than an m22 by at least a size or two and both ,drain and fill plugs, are identical differential plug style. It’s weird that they’re matching to not be original but I can’t find info on them anywhere
