Headlights stayed on after heavy rain and wouldn’t turn off. Neighbor woke me up and I went to turn off but they were switched off. I tried to start truck and it wouldn’t start so I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and truck started but headlights still wouldn’t turn off. First time this has happened to me

It won't take much for a short to activate the headlights relay.
You could try pulling the headlights relay.

So the following morning I rehooked up the battery and the headlights came back on in DRL mode but I drove it out to the job site with the heater on high to dry out any moisture. During the drive I noticed that the 4x4 light was flashing but I wasn’t in 4WD ,just AWD so I got to job and the lights were out but I could still hear clicking and the dash lights were clicking on and off so I disconnected the battery, opened the fuse box and let it dry out in the hot sun with just a couple of windows cracked open. Hooked it back up after 10 hour day and haven’t had a problem since

And do check connectors and such in the area, clean them and fill them with dielectric grease. If you don't clean them out, they will corrode and cause more issues later. The dielectric grease will help prevent new moisture from making it into the connector in the future. It's not gonna waterproof it, but it will help make it more resistant.
