Oilburner member, and also heavily into the facebook pages and honestly trying to get enough posts to get a signature on here, so figured I would show my truck off!

R&d cold air intake, 3'' dp, stage 3 fuel system, stage 1 drop in turbo, stage 1 injectors, stage 1 cam, return rails, head studs, rebuilt heads, comp 910 springs and pushrods, hypermax intercooler with custom piping to fit the stage 1 drop in, water meth, traction bars, champion radiator, aussie headlights THEY ARE AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL! I have a 110cc pump to replace the factory turbo ip i have on the truck eventually
Thats the just of it. And I left out a ton for the sake of reading.
Everything on my front cover all vbelt bracets, pulleys, oil fill housing, intake manifold, coolant housings, and alternator were powdercoated sparkle black
Valve covers, fan, cold air intake, and charge air pipe are sparkle blue
Notice the temperature and compass rearveiw. Its one of my favorite things ever. from an 03 gmc sierra
Wrapped crossover and transmission coolers
This picture is how I ran for a long time after I turbod. Hypermax inter cooler and a ats 093 with ww2 and R&D 3" dp
Back when i was n/a. Factory turbo cal ip, stage 1 injectors, raybell air cleaner with k&n filter, champion rad, 4" exhaust. Ran extremely well and had really good power for n/a. But compares nothing to being turbod!
and the picture above is how it looked when i first go the truck.

I've read numerous OilBurners threads. I need to register as a member since they have such good info there.
Did you upgrade the battery cables? The blue wire loom definitely matches the rest of the engine bay. BTW, I love those mudflaps! Could you take a close-up pic of how they're mounted?
Ain't that the truth. I'll never go back to my pre-turbo IDI. I keep the old air cleaner in my garage just in case I change my mind, but hell, I should just toss that thing.
@lonewolf Champion 3 core. I see no reason to go 4 core, I havent seen any real world experience that shows they cool any better. I have several friends who have them and see no difference. And I have heard of a few people having problems with the 4 cores leaking. I also have only towed once with this rad, but it seems to do identical to the factory brass
@Olds64 I can but all it is, is a piece of galvanized flat stock across the top of each flap and 2 6" hunks of chain attached to each end. I then literally bolted that to some holes in the bumper and mad them level. Easy cheap and effective.
Or the aftermarket ones that attach to a hitch:
After reading this thread yesterday I actually started browsing online at mud flap suppliers. Did you get yours from a specific supplier or did you just find them at a local truck stop? How do you like them, are they durable? There's actually an old Dentside in OKC that runs mud flaps that I've seen before that looks real nice. I've seen it at the local crusie-in before but I've never talked to the owner.

I'm not happy with my OEM 4 core right now ... I should install some Thermal Couples in the inlet and outlet and get some Delta 'T' data to see what is really going on.
my slide in Camper weighs 3400 LBS Loaded and is also a Big Wind Catcher, she will run pretty hot at times ... Of Course South Texas Heat is killer too.
Its only been a little over year too!
Few minor things have changed.
We will start with the headlights and work our way back.
Well led headlights in the aussies were good...but who doesnt want better. I bought a car 01 Corolla from my boss at the time and it came with a morimoto mini h1 7.0 projector headlight retrofit kit. Well it makes no sense to put good headlights in your daily right? Right. Put them in the truck you never drive instead. Well this got me into learning about headlights, you see because I cant just do something I have to learn about it. How it works the ins and the outs, how to do it, what works what doesn't. In this case that included light colors, output, lumens, beam pattern, headlight adjustments, in addition how to retrofit a set of headlights.
So I figured the easiest way to learn is by doing one of the hardest styles of headlights. 5x7 sealed beams. Seems reasonable.
I started with a set of vision x 5x7. I popped the front lenses off and began cutting. And cutting and cutting. The vision x headlights have glass lenses and a aluminum body. Which is really thick. So it would only seem reasonable to do lots of test fitting as you are trimming. Right? Well kinda. I test fit a few times then realized I had made a mistake in how deep I needed to inset the projector... yep there went those housings. I cut them too deep. Luckily all was not lost. In me getting started on these headlights I had been talking with my buddy fordtruckman838. Well he ended up buying some of the same projectors as I had, but decided to build his own headlights from scratch. This worked out well because I had glass lenses from the vision x I couldn't use.
Anyway I ended up ordering a set of pilot headlights. This time I was much more careful in my trimming and fitting
I got the back of the headlights trimmed to fit and then jb welded the projectors in. I then used a PVC cap and drilled holes for the shaft of the projector to fit thru, wires, and vent. I then j b welded that on. I then resealed the front housing on, and painted the back side black. I Rtv'd the wires where they went thru to seal them.
I then got them mounted up and installed.
There were a few reasons for me wanting to do better lights. First of all I wanted better high beams
My low beams were good but the hi was basically no better than low. I also wanted a warmer color for seeing thru snow in the winter. Also because I had the projectors. And a nice additional perk is the hid create enough heat to melt snow where led does not.
With projectors I get a awesome low beam that doesnt blind people and a amazing high beam. Since they are the same bulb in a projector it focuses the light and spreads it even and far. It spreads light I kid you not probably close to 60' off each side of the highway low or hi beam.
I definitely am a hid projector believer
Output pics are from @fordtruckman838 but we have the same lights
So many things have changed but this was the first one done chronologically, and it's at the front of the truck so I figured I would start there

Definitely a cool way to remember your granddad.
