Hey guys, I don't know if this might be a good question for the bullnose trucks, or for the Econoline vans, but I figured since it's being swapped into a bull, and I'm guessing most of the econolines being talked about are newer, this may be the best shot.
I recently picked up a Saginaw pump and bracket from a yard for my 460. When I was pulling the pump, I realized that the pulley was bent and figured it wouldn't matter because I had the original to the truck pulley in much nicer shape. Well... the C2 pump pulley has a smaller bore than the Saginaw so it doesn't fit... when looking up part #s I couldn't find a new one by Dorman or anyone. My question is, will a 198X E250 with a 351HO have the dual belt pulley? Local yard has one, otherwise I will have to make the long trip to the other yard again and ask if I can pull a pulley off the other 460 powered van in exchange.
Or, if anyone knows where to find a new pulley for cheap, I'm all ears!
Better go back to the junkyard. I think I would get the complete pump if the pulley is not bent. I would be afraid of the bent pulley pump, someone may have tried to pull it off with a regular puller or worse yet a hammer or pry bar, and may have ruined the pump. You are using the correct pulley puller? Just checking.

You need a puller to get the P/S pump pulley off, because it's pressed onto the shaft. Attempting to remove it any other way will bend it. Once it's off, it has to be pressed back on.

Thanks for the clarification numberdummy. The pulley was already cockeyed at the salvage yard. I found that using the auto parts stores online site worked. When searching the belt on a 460 powered van, there was a note that 2 were required. When searching for the same but 351 powered, no note.

1983/87 E250/350 460 used two P/S pump belts, 1988 reverted to one. 302/351W also used one.
Franklin, sorry I missed your post. I haven't gotten a chance to check the pump yet. My choice was between either a regular e350, or an ambulance. I chose the ambulance because it probably had a better maintenance schedule and because the bracketry and pump were less rusty.
I went back to the yard for the other pulley this time. It doesn't appear to be bent, but it's very rusty. So far I have been cleaning it up but if it doesn't clean up nice or the rust pitting is bad, I'll have to see if I can get another pulley either online, or off a GM truck maybe.
This pulley looks like a dead ringer to me, in both diameter, bore size, and overall looks.
Next I went out to the garage and took a look at my 1972 Cutlass. That also has a dual groove pulley that looks like it would work, though it doesn't look quite like the ford/summit racing Dorman pulley.
