I have an 84 f150 4.9l, i have a head unit out of an 88. Do they pair up directly with same wiring harness and how big is the factory center dash speaker?

The wiring is not the same and will not plug in. But with the correct diagrams, you can make it work with some wire splicing. The center dash speaker is 6x8. Also more than likely the later model radio is a DIN style, while your 84 is a 2 **** style radio correct? If that is so, you will have to cut the dash to make the later radio fit.
