AOD Neutral Safety Switch

So the wiring for my 1986 F150 4x4 w/AOD neutral safety switch got wrapped around the front drive shaft while out in heavy brush. The harness was pulled from both connections.

I broke pins off the NSS and need to replace it. However, I am not sure where the harness connects from the transmission side? Any guidance on where to look for the connection would be great.

Also, if there is a bypass or a switch I can run to bypass the NSS please shoot my the link for wired to cross. Its a beat up old ranch truck and I am good with rednecking it for this vehicle.

Thanks!

Here's the wiring diagram. You can see connector c128 feeds the switch.

I don't think those diagrams are for a 1986 F150 4x4 AOD? Its got the 5.0 EFI engine.

Mostly trying to find the location of the connection for the harness on the opposite end of the NSS connection.

You sure your truck has AOD?

Yes, I am sure it has the AOD tranny (not a manual and has overdrive). I know where the NSS switch is as well. I need to know where the wire goes from the NSS. The wire has a four prong connector on it but I cant find it and the wiring on this old rig is terrible.

I understand two of the wires are for the backup lights....so I dont need info on that either. Just need to find where the other connection is on the harness.

Thanks!

Still havent been able to track down the opposite connection. I wonder if it got ripped out of the harness which is why I can't find it.

The diagram shows another connector up the line is "c121" and "c190". They say c 121 is below the junction block. C190 is at the "clutch lockout switch" which must be inside the cab. You can see c190 in the picture in post #3 above in figure 1.

C121 is shown in the picture below.

Still no luck locating the opposite connection. Is there a simple way to bypass the NSS to get the vehicle running again?

It seems the wiring is either hidden where I cant see it or was pulled out when the wiring got wrapped around the front drive shaft.

Thanks.

Well did find the conncetion. Located right behind the frame rail fuel pump. Plan to splice the wire and bypass the NSS.
