I have a 94 5.0 with a performer rpm intake on it and a e303 motorsport cam in it. I also have 4:88 gears with 35" tires is there a way around the stock rev limiter or a way to adjust it I need to fix this problem BAD!!!!
Just because you have a cam you suddenly need to rev higher than 6k?
If you really want to get around it, buy a superchip...easiest way, they could probably make your truck take advantage of your intake and cam better because your truck probably doesn't have mass air does it?
yes my truck has Mass air and I don't think its because of the cam I think its because of the gears (4:88) and I have a hypertech chip but it still hits the rev limiter before it will shift only when I'm in 4low, Is a super chip better?
Why do you have 4.88 with 35s? I have factory 4.10s and they seem to work alot better with my 35s than the stock 235/75s. Anyways, just remember, your gonna kill more gas, and if your motor isnt built for more than 6k, your gonna blow it too. Just a thought, but maybe some 4.10s or 4.56s?
I only run my truck in the sand dunes. It doesn't get driven down the road. I needed alot of out of the hole power. also next year I want to run 39"x18" mickeys!
