For such simple vehicles lawn tractors sure can be frustrating. After cleaning or replacing all components of the fuel system on mine trying to fix the surging issue I think I finally got it figured out. Well, my wife did anyway. I was working on it in the shop and cursing when she walked up and asked what the spring was for that’s attached to the carb. Eureka
