Upfitter Switches

Anybody know if any of the upfitter switches have a direct wire to the back of the truck? Or are all of them in the compartment to the right of the passengers feet? I've found 3 of them there.

The ones you found at the passengers feet should just be passthru wires. The up fitter switch wires are under the hood on the drivers side tucked under the fuse panel. Right near the fire wall.

I looked everywhere in the cab. Pulled off panels. Only found the pass through wires as mentioned. Used a voltmeter and all. The PTO bundle was found but the upfitter wires in the cab are just not there. Very disappointed to say the least.

If my memory serves me, there's a page in the owners manual that actually states that the blunt cut wires are in the right passenger footwell. While this is true, there are blunt cut wires down there, they are pass through! It's stupid and misleading. That being said there are countless threads and PDF's online like the one posted above that would lead an owner to find the correct wires in the engine bay. Always surprised how few people do a basic google search and instead post something up on one of these forums - would have taken less time to google it and find the SVE Bulletin!

Yep, passenger side are just pass through. All upfitter wires are below fuse box on driver side engine compartment.

What are you disappointed at, Ford or yourself?

Hmmmm, maybe true, you can google anything. If the purpose is to create an environment that make people feel comfortable posting, and encourage others to join, there are some comments we should just keep to ourselves.

Ford. Says right in the owners manual “Each switch includes a blunt-cut, sealed wire. The wires are under the instrument panel on the right-hand side of the passenger footwell.” If the booklet was wrong, fine, but there’s no reason I was just able to pull that from the online manual.

Im sure you’ve got another jerk comment up your sleeve though.

This is what I was referring to in my previous post, the manual is super misleading. There are blunt cut sealed wires in the right hand side of the passenger footwell but they're NOT the ones you're looking for in reference to the upfitters. It's so stupid!

It wasn't meant to be a jerk comment...............I was just wondering and thought I would ask.
