Morning Travis and Jason.
There was a cruise-in event on the slate for this evening, but I think it's gonna get rained out...supposed to rain most of the day I guess.

Howdy Neil.
Fortunately, you're probably on the solved end of both Ford plug issues...lol. 2V's wouldn't stay in (my problem) because of insufficient thread length and then the early 3V trucks (04-08 years), they couldn't get them out without breaking them off. Not good. There's only maybe 4 threads on the 2V heads since the bore is slightly tapered and no one paid attention to that when tapping the threads. If the plug works loose it will shoot it square out and take the threads with it sometimes - this plug I fixed last night actually threaded back in on 2 other occasions.
Eventually, I'm either going to replace the heads with PI heads that have proper length threads from go, or just do inserts for all of the cylinders to prevent this from happening again.

I had a plug back out once on my 2001. I was lucky that the garage was able to install a new plug along with a coil with no damage to the threads.

The first 2 times #6 came out, the threads were in decent shape so the plug went back in with no issues. Wasn't so lucky on the third trip.

That was one of the big issues with the early years of the 10th Gen 150. I need to get my truck in the shop to have the plugs replaced because they are just a little past due.

The 2010 should have a full run-through done on it too, eventually I guess. Seems the dealer didn't do all of the 120k service they were supposed to, which included some of those kinds of things....
And yes, the truck and ATV cruise for tonight got shut down due to heavy weather. Now I don't feel so bad letting the 98 sit for another night for the JB Weld to cure up fully...lol

Bill, I am at 116K and the plugs "should" have been replaced at 100K. The dealer gave me a price last year around $500 to do the plugs and they also "recommended" that the transfer case fluid be changed. That was an additional $200 something. I checked with my local garage and I could get both of those done for the $500. The plugs are about $16 a piece for the Motorcraft ones.

Morning folks, happy Friday. Kinda brisk out there after the rains moved through - only in the mid 40's this morning. Looks like the weather's gonna steadily improve all day though.

Morning Everyone. Finally got the battery replaced in my jeep and put in a battery disconnect switch to stop it from dying.

Good Weekend Eve Morning PA, Craig, Bill, Travis, Jason and Crew on the beautiful morning. Started cool here at 47° but has made It to 66° so far. Rain cleared out last night and today looks to be sunny.
