Installing a Tachometer Gauge

Im installing a Tachometer Gauge, I know where all the wires need to go. I just don't want to run the red wire (power) to the main battery is there a fuse that I will be able to connect it to so I don't have to go all the way to the battery in the engine compartment?

You want keyed power. easiest way is to take it off the fuse block under the dash. test to find a slot with keyed power and put a spade terminal in the fuse holder or just splice with a keyed wire.

Keyed hot from under the dash (fuse panel or the accessory plug, male bullet terminal) and dash lights, same type accessory plug only yellow (maybe that's backwards). For the signal, I traced the wire back close to the firewall grommet and tapped into it there rather than running it all the way down to the coil, I don't believe it's a resistor wire or anything, it seems to work fine.
